Pisces New Moon: The End of Another Zodiacal Cycle
As we approach the final New Moon of the astrological year, the sun and moon meet in the ethereal, vast waters of Pisces. As the last sign of the zodiac, Pisces represents the culmination of our journey—a time of ego dissolution, deep presence, and returning to the "oneness" from which we all began.
The Energy of the Fish: Flow and Compassion
Pisces is a mutable water sign associated with the flow of life. While other signs focus on building or doing, Pisces asks us to simply be. It governs the subconscious, dreams, and our connection to the divine. Its highest expression is unconditional love and a radical compassion that recognizes no boundaries between self and other.
When we are in tune with Pisces energy, we feel the profound truth of our interconnection: when we cause harm or refuse to forgive ourselves, we are affecting the collective. Conversely, when we withhold forgiveness from others, we bind ourselves to the very pain we wish to escape.
Botanical & Mineral Allies
To navigate the porous and sensitive nature of this lunation, we can turn to these specific allies:
Gotu Kola: Often used to deepen meditation, Gotu Kola is perfect for the "Piscean mind" that can sometimes feel scattered or as if thoughts are floating away. It grounds your awareness while maintaining your spiritual connection.
Astragalus: In medical astrology, Pisces co-rules the immune system with Virgo. Astragalus provides vital immune support, strengthening "cell walls" to protect against intruding viruses.
Labradorite: This is the quintessential stone for Pisces. Because Piscean energy is so "porous," it can easily absorb the emotions of others. Labradorite acts as a shield, strengthening and protecting your energetic field while reflecting your inner light.
Ritual: The Practice of Ho’oponopono
A New Moon in Pisces is the ideal time for a self-forgiveness and compassion practice. One of the most powerful tools for this is the Hawaiian practice of Ho’oponopono.
Traditionally, this practice involves coming together to offer a simple but transformative prayer: “I’m sorry, Please forgive me, Thank You, I Love You.”
Our friend Anna Shipp has shared a beautiful perspective and prayer to help us work with this potent energy, specifically designed to pair with our Please Forgive Me Anointing Oil.
Understanding the "Data"
Forgiveness isn't just an action; it’s the byproduct of letting go of "data"—the limiting beliefs, powerless narratives, and judgments we unconsciously activate. We resist forgiveness because we fear that letting go means "it was okay" or that we will lose our protection.
Our default setting is love. So data is all the beliefs and thoughts that we unconsciously activate. Limiting beliefs. Powerless narratives. Judgments and blame. We have no power over data that is active in another. So we clean the active data in ourselves.
Addressing Data:
- If I let it go, it means it was ok
- I don't know who I am if I let it go
- If I let go, it won't have meaning
- I need to see them suffer for making me suffer
- I can't move on until I see them pay
- I couldn't forgive myself if I forgave them
- I refuse to be ok until they pay
- I don't know how to be ok
- Holding on feels safer than letting go
- I don't know how to soften
- It doesn't feel safe to let go
- I don't know how to protect myself if I let it go.
- I'm afraid if I let it go, I will be hurt again
- I'm not worthy of being free
- (Add in any data you recognize in yourself)
Forgiveness is not an action we take. It is the natural byproduct of letting go of data and programs. It is the freedom that follows healing and clearing the data we keep repeating.
Resisting forgiveness is not conscious. We resist forgiveness because of data in the way. This prayer helps us acknowledge what is standing in the way and guides us to a willingness to let go of the data.
Some issues need more repetition than others. For added efficiency alternate doing a set of mantras with horizontal eye movements with a set without the eye movements.
In the Ho’oponopono tradition, the goal is to reach Zero: a state of no emotional charge where the Divine can inspire pure action.

Note: You may wish to alternate these mantras with horizontal eye movements for added efficiency in clearing the "data."
The Invocation
"Divine Mother and Father, Cosmic Creator, All in all, I'm sorry for the parts of me that are in resistance to letting go. I'm sore with trepidation, distrust, vengeance, and disappointment. I feel trapped by injuries and wrongs never righted.
The Release
Please forgive me and free me from what I've created from this resistance. Free me from repeating the pain through my own stories of unworthiness. Free me from waiting for others to pay in order for me to move forward. Clear me of the impulse to hurt others when I am hurting.
The Gratitude
Thank you for holding me and giving me the power to find resources to speak my needs. Thank you for helping me feel safe in my body. I am grateful that I can be okay even if past events weren't okay. Thank you for helping me know I am worthy of being free.
The Integration
I love you. I love myself. I know that what is not love is only a program—only data. I can make new choices and lovingly repair relationships. There is enough love to go around to interrupt injustice without mirroring it."
The Mantra:
Repeat these four phrases until you feel a noticeable softening in your body:
I'm sorry
Please, forgive me
Thank you
I love you
As we close this zodiacal year, may you look back with more compassion for yourself than ever before. Happy New Moon.
