My name is Aleisha Christensen, and my path to herbalism began not in a classroom, but in the depths of personal transformation. I became interested in astrology because I had reached complete burnout and desperately wanted to know who I was. I felt so far out of alignment with my authentic self that I could barely recognize the person I had become.

I truly believe it was God and a gentle urging from my Celtic heritage that led me to astrology, essential oils, and herbs to facilitate my journey of self-discovery. Through these sacred mediums, I have experienced some of my most profound personal healing, and these traditions continue to guide and transform my life's path every single day.

Living Wisdom Apothecary is a family endeavor run by my husband, Rory, and me. While I focus on the plant medicine, astrology, and client work that feeds my soul, Rory supports this sacred work by handling business administration, freeing me to pour my heart into creating inspired blends and supporting our community's transformative journeys.

Astrological Training

Certified through Naomi Fox Reina's Light-Filled Astrology Program: An intensive training that I truly loved, where I had the joy of forming many new friendships while diving deep into the sacred art of chart interpretation
Sajah Popham's In-Depth Astro-Herbalism Program: This transformational program deepened my understanding of how celestial movements relate to plant medicine and human health, creating the foundation for my integrated approach

Herbal Studies

Two Years of Intensive Independent Study: Devoted to deepening my knowledge of astrology, essential oils, and herbal remedies through personal practice, mentorship, and continuous learning
Currently Studying with Kami McBride: Learning the ancient art of making handcrafted herbal-infused oils, connecting with traditional methods of plant preparation and the sacred relationship between herbalist and plant

Essential Oil Expertise

My approach to essential oils is rooted in safety, reverence, and therapeutic application:

I use 2% dilution (approximately 6 drops per 10ml) for most blends, occasionally increasing to 3-4% when appropriate
All blends use jojoba oil as the carrier and are designed for topical use only
I never recommend ingesting essential oils, believing in their powerful therapeutic effects when used safely on the skin or aromatically.
Each blend comes with detailed instructions and suggested rituals.

Ayurvedic Integration

I incorporate the wisdom of Ayurveda, particularly the practice of Abhyanga—the ancient ritual of self-massage with warm, herbal-infused oils. This practice beautifully demonstrates how plants can nourish not just our physical bodies, but our entire nervous system, supporting deep restoration and integration.
